Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture is pleased to announce the return of BookCrossing Events on Thursday 21st July, Thursday 4th August and Thursday 11th August at Casemates Square from 8pm-11pm as part of the Summer Nights programme. The stand will be located in front of Watergate House, Casemates Square.
As a result of the Governments recent announcements in respect of the recently focused employment strategy and the launch of the Careers’ and Employment Development Service offered by the Department of Employment, in conjunction with the Department of Education, the Government have announced that at least 50 care worker vacancies have been identified with a local care services provider.
The Gibraltar Museum will once again offer their very popular ‘Walks through History’ over the summer holiday period. The walks are organised by the Museum’s Education Department as part of the Gibraltar Sports and Leisure Authority’s (GSLA) Summer Sports and Leisure Programme.

Their visit marked the official opening of an Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Gibraltar, following the appointment earlier this year of Mr Stanislav Čech as Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic to the UK in Gibraltar.

The Royal Gibraltar Police is pleased with the findings of HMIC's report, and believes that this is a testament to the efforts of every single officer and civil service support staff member who has contributed positively towards their ongoing journey of continuous improvement, something that was also recognised earlier this year through the award of the prestigious Investors in People Gold standard.
