Earlier today, the Minister for Health and Care, the Hon Gemma Arias-Vasquez, officially opened the Dementia Awareness Conference at Boyd’s, an event jointly organised by the Gibraltar Health Authority in collaboration with the Gibraltar Alzheimer’s and Dementia Society (GADS). 

Gibraltar Cultural Services, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, and in collaboration with The Gibraltar Scouts Association, is excited to announce the return of Bonfire Night. 

The extension to St Martin’s School on Glacis Road which now houses the Early Birds Nursery opened its doors on Thursday after being refurbished and kitted out by GJBS.   

Gibraltar Cultural Services (GCS), on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, is pleased to announce its cultural programme for the autumn season. Art, Literature and Christmas events are predominant in this year’s programme.  

The Minister for Equality, Employment, Culture and Tourism, the Hon. Christian Santos GMD MP, was able to address delegates recently at the Travel Weekly's Future of Travel event in London. 

The Gibraltar Health Authority, in conjunction with Public Health, is launching the Vague Symptoms Protocol Campaign to raise awareness within our community. This initiative aims to help individuals recognise and act on subtle or unclear health symptoms that could indicate more serious underlying conditions. 

This year’s Calpe Conference, in its 29th iteration, commences on Thursday 18th September at the Second World War Tunnels site at Hay’s Level. The Conference will be officially launched by Professor John Cortes at 9 am and will dedicate three full days to the subject of “Gibraltar in the Second World War and in other global conflicts: the importance of geography”. The conference brings together scholars from Gibraltar, the United Kingdom, Spain, Malta, Israel, and the United States.

As we Gibraltarians celebrate National Day this year, each of us will be very happy that I was able to announce an agreement between the UK and the EU which is fully respectful of all aspects of British Sovereignty over Gibraltar.    

Earlier today, the Minister for Health, the Hon Gemma Arias-Vasquez, hosted UK Member of Parliament and Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Gibraltar, the Hon Amanda Martin MP, during a visit to St Bernard’s Hospital. The GHA’s Director General, Medical Director and Director of Nursing also joined throughout the visit.
