The Beach Market Extravaganza held at Camp Bay on Tuesday was a resounding success. Large crowds of people attended the novel event and enjoyed the many activities that were provided by the organisers, the Gibraltar Tourist Board and Ministry of Culture.

The outdoor fun included, karaoke, aqua zumba, zumba, live music, dance groups and a fire show. There was also entertainment for family and children with face painting, bouncy castle, candy floss, hair braiding and even a stall of Christmas crafts.

Numerous stalls selling arts and crafts items, jewellery, beach-ware, painted stones, and photographs, proved very popular with the public. There were also various food stalls.

The next beach market will be held on July 20th at Eastern Beach with a third scheduled for August 17th at Catalan Bay.

Members of the public are reminded that anyone wishing to join in the beach market can contact Daniel Guerrero at the Ministry of Culture or Alison Baldachino at the Gibraltar Tourist Board on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Minister for Tourism Samantha Sacramento MP said: “We are pleased that the public have supported our novel initiative of having an evening market at the beach, so that people can have fun outdoors and enjoy the great weather doing something different.

The evening was a huge success and we would like to remind the public that we have two more beach markets coming up later in the summer to look forward to.”
