Immediately after the National Day rally, the Minister for Telecommunications, Joe Bossano, left Gibraltar for Fiji in order to participate in the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) Forum 2016.
He has been asked to participate as one of the main speakers, alongside telecommunication ministers from a number of Commonwealth nations.
The theme of the conference is "How should government policy leverage Information Communications and Telecommunications for inclusive growth". Minister Bossano will also speak during a session which will focus on the regional development update in Europe.
The conference will be followed by a meeting of the (CTO) council, which is the governing body of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation. Minister Bossano has been asked to participate in the council meeting, after which he will return to Gibraltar on Saturday 17th and be back at his office on Sunday.
