The PCC is working hard to ensure that patients and staff are protected from possibly contracting COVID-19; as such they are endeavouring to provide some face to face services by telephone instead, and by using the support of agencies outside the PCC such as Pharmacies.
The Gibraltar Health Authority has now taken affirmative action as a precautionary measure, to protect patients and staff during this phase of containment of the COVID -19 virus (Coronavirus) in order to prevent potential spread.
HM Government of Gibraltar have said it continues to plan and prepare for any possible outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19. This is done in line with the best estimates and projections of our Public Health professionals for when we might expect to see a rise in the number of cases locally.
The central advice to the elderly and to those persons with underlying health conditions in Gibraltar is that they should keep movement to a minimum, that they should avoid large gatherings and leave their homes only if absolutely necessary.
As previously announced by HM Government of Gibraltar, the 2020 Gibraltar Drama Festival will take place at the John Mackintosh Hall, but with closed doors to the general public.
