3rd December is International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD). This day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues, mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
The Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce will once again be organising “Winter Party in Town’ on Saturday 15th December.
Over the past week Lower Primary School staff have welcomed Finnish educationalist Ms Leena Heinila to their schools. Ms Heinila’s visit has cemented the cultural and educational ties established by the Department of Education after their visit to Helsinki earlier this year.
The Government says it welcomes that Gibraltar’s orderly departure from the European Union has been settled through a Protocol to the Withdrawal Agreement. The Protocol refers to the four Memoranda of Understanding which have been published today.
Her Majesty's Government of Gibraltar have confirmed that the Chief Minister, the Hon Fabian Picardo QC MP has today written to the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Theresa May MP, to tell her that the Gibraltar Government has approved the application to Gibraltar of the Protocol in the UK/EU Withdrawal Agreement.
