"On Thursday the 17th November, all Ministry Of Defence Locally Entered Civilians were issued with a letter updating them about their role and how would the new operating model affect them personally."
Unite the Union have issued a strong statement following the contents of a letter issued by the MOD to locally entered civilians.
"This letter also extended an invitation for those employees wanting to apply for the Voluntary Redundancy Scheme." Unite explain that due to the fact the MOD have not taken into account their requests to either stop or extend the consultation process, they will be "calling an emergency MOD/ISP Branch meeting for this Wednesday to discuss the way forward. At this meeting the Command's response to Unite will also be discussed."
Unite further reiterates that "this consultation process is the most incoherent and shortest encountered in the history of industrial relations between the MoD and Unite in Gibraltar."
