On Saturday evening, HM Customs officers intercepted a vehicle at the Western Beach car park. A search of the vehicle revealed a total of 160 cartons of tobacco.

The tobacco was seized and the occupants of the vehicle, both Spanish nationals, were arrested and taken to New Mole House Police Station where they were bailed to appear on 22nd November 2018.

On Monday 1st October, HM Customs officers challenged a Spanish national at the Land Frontier pedestrian channel. A search of her bag revealed a white wrapper containing approximately 0.5 grams of a substance suspected to be a class A drug. She was subsequently arrested and taken to New Mole House Police Station where she was released on bail to appear on 29th October 2018.
