His Excellency the Governor, Lt Gen Edward Davis, and Mrs Davis visited St Bernadette’s Resource Centre on Tuesday morning.
His Excellency was welcomed by the Minister for Social Services, the Hon. Samantha Sacramento, together with Mr. Carlos Banderas, Head of Disability Services. They were given a tour of the Centre, had the opportunity to meet the service users and staff during their sessions, and were provided with an insight of the work undertaken at the Centre.
Once the tour ended, the Governor and Mrs Davis were escorted to the garden area where His Excellency was presented with two paintings made by the service users and Mrs Davis was presented with a bouquet of flowers.
Minister Sacramento said: “It is wonderful that His Excellency and Mrs Davis have taken the time to visit St Bernadette’s and see first-hand the excellent work carried out at the Centre. Everyone at St Bernadette’s was absolutely delighted at their visit and their warm engagement”.
