CEO and Captain of the Port, Commodore Bob Sanguinetti, has been elected to the board of the International Bunker Industry Association.
This was announced at their gala dinner in London on Monday. Minister for Shipping, the Hon Albert Isola, at the dinner as a VIP guest, stated that 'this was fantastic news for Bob Sanguinetti, the Port, and for Gibraltar, placing us at the forefront of developments in the bunkering industry. It reflects the Port's status as the region's principal bunker hub, and its strong reputation across the global shipping community.'
A Gibraltar delegation, comprising some twenty members from the port community, is in London to attend International Petroleum (IP) Week. ‘This annual, high profile event attracts the senior figures from the oil and gas industry, providing an ideal opportunity for us to market the full range of services we provide at Gibraltar, and to discuss how we can best support the international shipping community’, said Bob Sanguinetti.
