UPDATE ON FIRE AT BAYSIDE CONSTRUCTION SIT

The GFRS have advised that the fire is now under control. Fire teams have prevented the fire from escalating, and two teams with high water capacity are currently committed to putting it out.

Residents in the area should keep windows and doors closed, and air conditioning switched off.

CORRECTION RE FLIGHT: This evening’s flight from London Gatwick did not divert. It was held for some time and landed successfully in Gibraltar at 21:24.

The situation continues to be actively managed by the emergency services.
