Dorothy Garrod and the Devil’s Tower Skull
Minister for Heritage, the Hon Prof John Cortes MP, today attended the Gibraltar National Museum for the launch of Dorothy Garrod and the Devil’s Tower Skull, a new publication by Dr Alex Menez.
The event highlights the important contribution made by pioneering archaeologist Dorothy Garrod to the study of Gibraltar’s prehistoric heritage, and the continuing significance of archaeological discoveries made here.
Minister Cortes was pleased to present the publication and to celebrate the work of Dr Menez in bringing this fascinating chapter of Gibraltar’s heritage to a wider audience.
The launch provided an opportunity to reflect on Gibraltar’s unique archaeological legacy and the importance of continuing to research, preserve and share our heritage.
