Twenty new rental flats at Knights Court welcome their first tenants

The Ministry for Housing is delighted to announce that twenty brand-new flats at Knights Court have now been allocated to their new tenants, providing much needed new homes for local residents.

The allocation comprises three 3RKBs and seventeen 2RKBs. The flats have been built as an extension to Knights Court, which is also undergoing a major refurbishment programme, and have been allocated to applicants on the Government housing waiting list.

Each flat includes a fully fitted kitchen, so that tenants can move into a home equipped for their everyday needs from day one. The flats also enjoy spectacular views across the bay.

The new homes are a significant addition to the Government rental housing stock and will provide modern homes for individuals and small families. Two-bedroom flats rarely become available within the existing stock, so the seventeen new 2RKBs will make a real difference to applicants waiting for a home of this size.

The Knights Court allocation follows last month's allocation of 44 new pensioner rental flats at Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Mews at Chatham Views. The tenants of those flats are existing Government tenants, and the homes they are returning will be reallocated to applicants on the housing waiting list.
