Temporary Closure of the Department of Immigration and Home Affairs – Monday 4th May

The Department of Immigration and Home Affairs wishes to inform the public that its offices located on the 2nd Floor of Leanse Place will be closed to the public on Monday following significant flooding at the building yesterday.

As a result, power to the department has been temporarily disconnected and services cannot safely operate from the premises at this time.

The situation is currently being addressed by the relevant authorities. The Department will reassess the situation during the course of Monday and will provide further updates regarding the resumption of normal services as soon as it is safe to do so.

The Department of Immigration and Home Affairs apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their patience and understanding.
