Minister for Tourism, the Hon Samantha Sacramento MP is attending the Institute of Travel & Tourism (ITT) Conference currently being held in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, from 6 – 8 June.
The ITT is an international body that seeks to develop and maintain high professional standards throughout the industry. It organises meetings around the world, bringing together tourism operators and experts alongside government representatives and officials in a series of seminars and workshops to discuss issues related to the global travel trade.
Minister Sacramento will give a presentation on behalf of the Chief Minister on how the GSLP Liberal administration has transformed the tourist product in Gibraltar since first elected in December 2011. Previous notable speakers at the ITT include Sir Terry Leahy, Cherie Blair, Robin Cook, William Hague and Alan Johnson.
Minister Sacramento said: “I am delighted to be representing the Chief Minister at an important international seminar on tourism. It will be an excellent opportunity to promote Gibraltar as a leading destination in the western Mediterranean, and to brief international experts on the positive transformation of Gibraltar’s tourist product which we have carried out in these past four and a half years.”
