The South District Senior Citizens Social Club , the Town Range Senior Citizens Social Club and the Senior Citizens Association have joined ranks to be "counted in" to fully support the Gibraltar Stronger in Europe Campaign. They urge their joint 6000+ members to cast their vote 'In' the Referendum to decide whether the United Kingdom should remain or leave the European Union, which takes place on Thursday 23 June 2016.

'It is the view of the three Chairmen that members should vote for the United Kingdom and Gibraltar to remain IN EUROPE. They also stressed that it is very important that Gibraltar shows its commitment towards Europe, with a very high turnout from the 23,000 persons eligible to vote and by voting for the United Kingdom and Gibraltar to remain in Europe.

The chairmen of the three committees (Malcolm Beanland, Pepe Baldachino and Manolo Ruiz) highlight the importance that members and their families should check that they are included in the Electoral Register, with either the Gibraltar Parliament office or with the Gibraltar Stronger in Europe Office at their premises in Main Street opposite the Cathedral of St Mary the Crowned.

They  also remind members that  if any of them has a relative or friend who is housebound and will not be able to vote at a polling station, arrangements can be put in place for these persons to be able to vote by proxy. Proxy forms can be collected from The Gibraltar Parliament or The Gibraltar In Europe offices.

Finally they invite members wishing to volunteer to help the Gibraltar Europe IN Campaign to contact their offices in Main Street.
