The Friends of Gibraltar AGM was held last night at Gibraltar House, London, under the Chairmanship of Sir Adrian Johns.

A full report of the Society’s activities over the last 12 months was outlined to the members present. The meeting was informed of all the wide ranging projects which are either confirmed or candidate items for the ensuing year. These represent a considerable increase over previous years.

Albert Poggio, Vice Chairman, gave a brief overview of the Calpe House Appeal and advised that the Friends would be looking at how, within the remit of the Association, they can associate themselves with the Calpe House project.

After the meeting, a reception was held at which a presentation was made to Gibraltar House by Sir Adrian, in appreciation of the continued help provided to the Society by the staff of Gibraltar House. The gift of a beautiful print, depicting The Great Siege, was donated by Major General Simon Pack, former CBF Gibraltar, and accepted by Albert Poggio, Vice-Chairman of the Friends, in his capacity as Director of Gibraltar House.
