The Royal Gibraltar Police are pleased to announce the awarding of the highly prestigious Investors in People Gold accreditation.

Investors in People (IIP) is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. IIP enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.

With a community of 14,000 organisations across 75 countries, successful accreditation against the IIP Standard is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to sustained success.

Based on a tried and tested framework and a rigorous process of assessment, organisations that meet the Investors in People Standard proudly display their accreditation to the world because they understand that it’s people that make the difference.

First developed in 1991, the IIP standard has evolved to keep pace with modern practices, with the current sixth generation launched internationally in 2015. It has grown to be the United Kingdom’s leading people management business improvement standard, with over 22,000 businesses in London and the South East alone now accredited with the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.

The RGP, who were first accredited as Investors in People in 2008 and awarded the IIP “Bronze” accreditation in 2012, were recently assessed against a framework comprising four levels of accreditation, namely, Accredited, Bronze, Silver and Gold1.
