Gemma Arias-Vasquez MP announced the Gibraltar Music Festival Summer Sessions will take place in early September 2026.

Taking place at the Europa Sports Complex, the Music Festival will see international and local acts performing on several stages over three days, from the 3rd-5th September, in the run up to the National Day celebrations.

Currently, the confirmed line-up is as follows, with more local bands still to be announced:

Thursday 3rd September

James Morrison; Hard-Fi; Melon Diesel; Nikolai Celecia; Wayne

Friday 4th September

Rosario; Sophie Ellis Bexter; Tony Hadley; The Jesse Tree

Saturday 5th September

Billy Ocean; 10cc; The Real Thing; Adrian Pisarello; Discoworks

The Summer Sessions seek to re-introduce a smaller Gibraltar Music Festival style event which were last held prior to 2020. This event is in line with the Government’s well-established policy for eventsled tourism and will be run in conjunction with Visit Gibraltar (Gibraltar Tourist Board), the Ministry of Business and local organisers. The event aims to attract visitors to the Rock as well as entertain local audiences with a varied selection of great artists.

Ministers Santos and Arias-Vasquez are delighted to be collaborating on this event which will hopefully be the first of many. They are particularly excited to be supporting local musicians and giving them the opportunity to share the spotlight with well known international acts.

Minister Santos said, "The Gibraltar Music Festival Summer Sessions represent an exciting new chapter for live music on the Rock. By bringing together internationally renowned artists and talented local performers, we are creating an event that celebrates Gibraltar's vibrant cultural scene while supporting our events-led tourism strategy. I am delighted to be working alongside Minister Arias-Vasquez and our partners to deliver what we hope will be the first of many successful editions.”
