The Ministry for Infrastructure and Planning has this morning announced the addition of a second night bus route that will cover parts of the Upper Town.

This new route, operated by the Gibraltar Bus Company will provide a much-needed night service. The N1, will run between Market Place to Willis Road every 40 minutes on Friday and Saturday Nights from 2130hrs to 0200hrs. 
 
The new operating times for both routes will be as follows:
 
• N1 -  Market Place to Willis’ Road, every 40 minutes starting from 2130hrs

• N8 -  Both Worlds to Europa Point and the South District, every 30 minutes starting from 2120hrs
 
This service enhancement will be kept under strict review to assess take-up and performance.
 
This new scheme will be effective as of today, Friday 13th April 2018. 
 
The new Route N1 will also be available on the Bus Tracker WebApp, which offers users real-time bus information - http://track.bus.gi/

The Bus Tracker is available on any smart phone device or desktop computer with internet access.
 
As per the Night Bus N8, N1 will also have a fee of £2 per person where children under the age of 8 travel for free.
 
The Minister for Infrastructure & Planning said, “I am delighted to announce the new Night Bus route N1 which will now give residents of the Upper Town another transport option during the weekends. The N1 route will provide safe transport for those wishing to go out and enjoy the local nightlife providing another viable option other than the car.”
