Celebrating Gibraltar’s culture, faiths and unique heritage is a part of the Gibunco Gibraltar International Literary Festival. This year Moroccan writer Ahmed Boukhobza joins the Festival line-up. Mr Boukhobza will deliver a talk centred on Al Andaluz on Sunday 19th November at 10.00am in the John Mackintosh Hall.

In addition the Ibrahim-al-Ibrahim Mosque at Europa Point will be open to visitors on Saturday 18th November from 10.00am to 4.00pm as part of the Festival. Members of the local Muslim community will welcome visitors to the mosque and give a short description and tour of the holy place.

Minister for Tourism Gilbert Licudi QC said, “The Festival has always highlighted one of Gibraltar’s main faiths as part of its programme and this year we look at Islam. It’s a great gesture on behalf of the local Muslim community to open up one of their places of worship for all. We also welcome Mr Boukhobza to the line-up and I am sure that his contribution to the Festival will be very interesting. Celebrating our harmonious society and unique heritage is what makes our Festival so distinctive.

Tickets are available at www.gibraltarliteraryfestival.com and www.buytickets.gi and at the Festival Box Office, Garrison Library, 10.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
