51 yr old local man Stephen Anthony Martinez has been convicted today at the Supreme Court for offences of Possession of Indecent images of Young Children.

Martinez was convicted on two counts; count one in relation to 77 images and count two in respect of 272 images.

He was sentenced by Puisne Judge Karen Ramagge Prescott to 9 months imprisonment in respect of count one and 24 months in respect of count two. Both sentences are to run concurrently. The Crown was represented by Crown Counsel Mark Zammit.

As was disclosed at the time of his arrests, none of the photographs are of local children
