A group of youngsters aged between 12 and 16 who are in the forming stages of a Youth Forum met with the Minister for Youth, the Hon Steven Linares last week. The Youth Forum aims to provide participants with the opportunity to explore the social issues affecting young people in Gibraltar, and offers them a chance to express their concerns at Ministerial level, with the hope of influencing future policies.

The group met several times before the meeting to discuss and research the issues most pertinent to young people in Gibraltar at present. The initial meeting was a unique opportunity to voice their opinions directly to Minister Linares, and look at possible solutions and strategies.
