Gibraltar Finance is attending and sponsoring STEP 2016, Edinburgh on 22 September 2016 in conjunction with the private sector. Paul Astengo, Senior Executive will lead the Gibraltar delegation.
The one-day conference continues to build on the themes from the STEP Spring conferences and provides essential guidance on the current and future developments in tax, trust and estates. Sessions will cover the implications of extending the DOTAS regime to IHT, CGT changes and recent case law, the offshore dimension, an APR / BPR update, aspects of wills and estate administration, residential property and dividend changes.
Albert Isola, Minister for Financial Services commented, “Our experience of the STEP Spring conferences proved very positive and a number of relevant business development conversations have been held particularly around the raft of new and refreshed legislation introduced by this Government since 2011 in partnership with the Gibraltar STEP branch. Scotland is new territory for Gibraltar Finance as we continue to take our message to regional UK. We enjoy an excellent working relationship with STEP Gibraltar and attendance at these conferences provides an opportunity to support STEP’s own international marketing initiatives and build a network of regional contacts that will serve us well moving forward. Our increasing focus on regional UK in tandem with our traditional endeavours in London provides greater opportunity to achieve the ambitious targets we have set for ourselves”
Paul Astengo will be based in Edinburgh for the week commencing 19th September 2016 attending meetings with relevant contacts and welcomes the opportunity to support other private sector initiatives during this time.
