49yr old Ukranian national Oleksondr OSTAPENKO, a visitor to Gibraltar, has today been charged with one count of Outraging Public Decency. This is in addition to an earlier charge of disorderly conduct whilst intoxicated in connection with the same incident.

The charge follows Ostapenko's arrest during the evening of Thursday 21st July, when uniformed officers responded to complaints from the public regarding a male person continuously harassing and directing offensive gestures at women and children in the vicinity of Casemates Square.

He remains in Police custody and will be appearing before the Magistrates’ Court at 1000hrs Wednesday 27th July 2016.
