The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia took full advantage of their visit to London in order to put across the views of Gibraltar on a whole range of issues.
They met with the UK Minister of State for Transport Robert Goodwill MP in order to discuss the aviation issues that may arise in the context of the potential UK withdrawal from the European Union.
Mr Picardo was then taken by Mr Goodwill to witness at first hand the statement by Theresa May MP following her appointment as the new leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister designate.
Mr Picardo and Dr Garcia were able to discuss the consequences of the referendum vote to leave the European Union with former Shadow Foreign Secretary Hilary Benn MP and to exchange a few words with the challenger for the leadership of the Labour Party Angela Eagle MP.
In the evening, the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister exchanged views with Ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps at the annual summer reception hosted by the Chief Minister of Jersey.
