Minister for Tourism Samantha Sacramento MP welcomed the evening beach market initiative which has been put together by the Gibraltar Tourist Board and the Ministry for Culture.

“The Evening Beach Extravaganza is a wonderful idea to get the summer season going in style. We will be providing family entertainment in the beach and an opportunity for local traders to sell their wares, all of it within a festive flavour – a perfect combination, and a perfect opportunity for people to get out of doors and enjoy the fine weather. Camp Bay will be the first of three special Evening Beach Market events over the summer months and we are confident the public will support this event and it will go from strength to strength as a reflection of a positive community spirit.

Minister Linares added: “For many years our beaches have formed a major part of Gibraltar’s culture where many locals and tourists flock down to enjoy our long summer days. The Beach Extravaganza will definitely enhance the beach experience and will bring together a variety of local talents for all to enjoy”.
