Minister for Tourism Samantha Sacramento MP welcomed the evening beach market initiative which has been put together by the Gibraltar Tourist Board and the Ministry for Culture.

Minister Sacramento said: “The summer season has commenced and the weather in the evening is lovely. This is a wonderful idea to create a community spirit, to get people out of doors and enjoy the fine weather in a different way. We are pleased that these innovative ideas to involve the public have been organised.

“We all know that beach culture is an important part of the Gibraltarian lifestyle and this is an extension of that community life, as it brings together all these diverse elements for the benefit of all.

The Minister for Culture Steven Linares MP said: “Both Ministries have been working very closely to organise these events to be enjoyed by the community at large. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the local sponsors that have engaged with us to make the beach market extravaganza a reality.
