The Convent will once again open its doors to the Public on Saturday 25th June when His Excellency the Governor will host the popular Convent Open Day in aid of local charities.
The main beneficiaries this year will be the Calpe House Trust and Down Syndrome Support Group Gibraltar. In order to raise as many funds as possible, a £1 entrance fee will be charged per person.
A detailed event programme will be issued closer to the date, but the Open Day will include:
Selection of refreshments available in the beautiful Convent garden
A selection of gardening and other stalls set up in the grounds, selling a wide variety of products
The opportunity to tour the formal rooms of the Convent including the Ballroom and the Banqueting Hall with its extensive display of heraldry
Children’s activities
A recruitment stall by the Royal Gibraltar Regiment, marking Armed Forces Day.
Doors will be open from 11am until 3pm. Advance tickets will be available from Wednesday 15th June from the Convent Main Reception between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Tickets will also be available on the day, subject to availability but numbers are limited and advance purchase is recommended.
Disabled access to the Convent reception areas and most of the garden is available. Anyone requiring assistance is encouraged to contact the Convent in advance.
