On Friday St Mary’s First School celebrated Gibraltar’s Indian Community. All year 3 students have been working on projects based on India and Indian culture, and much of their homework is on display throughout the school.

The Indian Community kindly donated the food for the student’s lunch: korma sauce with white rice, plain naan and cheese naan. Some of the mums belonging to the Indian community also baked biscuits for dessert.

A talk on Indian culture was delivered as part of the morning’s activities, and students enjoyed a Bollywood dance lesson in the early afternoon. Both students and teachers were dressed in traditional Indian costumes and raised money for the Calpe House fund.
