The Govt have announced today that the first two blocks of Mons Calpe Mews are ready for completion. Purchasers of affordable homes in Abyla Lodge and Seagull Lodge have begun to receive their notices of completion and will be able to collect their keys as soon as they are ready to complete.

The completion process at Mons Calpe Mews is being staggered over the next few months. Express Lodge and Basha Lodge are expected to be ready for completion by the end of April and the final two blocks, Viking Lodge and Seamaster Lodge, are due for completion by the end of May.

Minister for Housing, the Hon Samantha Sacramento MP, said: "Today I personally inspected the ongoing works at Mons Calpe Mews and am extremely pleased with the quality to which these affordable homes are being completed. We have already delivered the affordable homes at Beach View Terraces in record time and I am assured that the remaining blocks of Mons Calpe Mews will be ready to hand over as expected. I wish all new residents all the best in their new homes and am confident that they will share my satisfaction with the high standards to which the Mons Calpe Mews estate has been completed".

The Chief Minister, the Hon Fabian Picardo QC, said: "I am delighted that this magnificent project is now complete and that people will start moving in with their families this month. It will be fantastic for so many Gibraltarians to have these beautiful affordable homes at last. They are spacious and of a brilliant build quality, just like Beach View Terraces. I am very happy indeed for the purchasers and I very much look forward to making the announcement for the sale of the properties at Hassan Centenary Terraces and Bob Peliza Mews very shortly, as those plans are finalised to the very highest standards also."
