At the Gala Night of the Gibraltar Drama Festival held at the Ince’s Hall Theatre on Saturday 19th March 2016, the Adjudicator, Paul Mills GODA, reached the following decision on the Awards:
BEST STAGE PRESENTATION was awarded to GAMPA for their play ‘Insert Label Here’
BEST YOUTH SUPPORTING ACTOR was awarded to Kai Nemes for his performance as ‘Joel’ in the play ‘William and the World’ by the Bayside and Westside Drama Group
BEST YOUTH SUPPORTING ACTRESS was awarded to the Rosie Stannard for her performance as ‘Deuce Wilde’ in the play’ A Point of Law’ by Medway Theatre
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR went to Sam Bush for his role as ‘Block’ in the play ‘The Trial’ presented by the Bayside and Westside Drama Group
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS went to Katherine Balbuena for her role as ‘Miss Burstner’ in the play ‘The Trial’presented by the Bayside and Westside Drama Group
BEST YOUTH ACTOR went to Chris Ablitt for his role as ‘Frank Koziel’ in the play ‘In Jesus Name’ presented by Bayside and Westside Drama Group
BEST YOUTH ACTRESS went to Lana Ballantyne for her role as ‘Frances DeFyne’ in ‘A Point of Law’ presented by Medway Theatre
BEST ACTRESS went to Samantha Barrass for her role as ‘Marianne’ in the play ‘Constellations’ presented by the Trafalgar Theatre Group
BEST ACTOR went to Billy Snell for his role as ‘Joseph K’ in the play ‘The Trial’ presented by Bayside and Westside Drama Group
BEST DIRECTOR was awarded to Daniel Strain Webber for his play ‘Constellations’ presented by Trafalgar Theatre
BEST ORIGINAL PLAY went to Julian Felice for his play ‘In Jesus Name’ presented by the Bayside and Westside Drama Group
ADJUDICATOR’S AWARD for best ensemble work went to ‘The Clump’ in ‘Hoodie’ performed by the White Light Company Juniors
ADJUDICATOR’S AWARD for best costumes went to ‘Black Adder II - Bells’ performed by Rock Theatre
FESTIVAL WINNER for the winning play was awarded to GAMPA for their play ‘Insert Label Here’ an original play by Christian Santos
The presentation of awards was carried out by the Minister for Culture, the Hon Steven Linares MP.
