The Ministry of Culture is pleased to announce the Gibraltar-Berlin Artist in Residence Exchange Programme for artists working in any medium. This is particularly for those interested in developing their work in urban public spaces. This residency will be organised by Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of HM Government of Gibraltar and Lichtenberg Studios.
As the EU referendum becomes a major focus of media attention, journalists from across Europe are looking at Gibraltar as a unique participant in the British poll. The only polling stations outside the United Kingdom will, of course, be those in Gibraltar – and time-zone differences mean they will open an hour before those in UK.
Minister for Equality, the Hon Samantha Sacramento MP, has attended an International Parliamentary Conference on Combatting Antisemitism in Berlin. The summit was organised by the German Government and Parliament in partnership with the Inter- Parliamentary Coalition for Combatting Antisemitism (ICCA), and hosted over 150 parliamentarians from more than 50 countries.
The Chief Minister, the Hon Fabian Picardo QC, inaugurated the Elizabeth II Sports Annex at the Bayside Sports Centre in the presence of His Excellency the Governor Lieutenant General Edward Davis CB, CBE and Minister for Sport Steven Linares, amongst other invited guests.
