Gib Cricketers in Euro Champs

The Gibraltar Cricket Team flew to Scotland this week to compete in the 2nd division of the European Championships. Like the recent Hockey tournament the division is split into two groups of four. Gib will play Germany, Greece and Guernsey before progressing to the playoffs. The team that finishes top after the playoffs will be promoted to division 1 and the bottom teams relegated to division 3. There should be little risk for Gibraltar of relegation and they have a great chance of challenging for promotion if they all play well. Gibraltar won this competition in both 2002 and 2000 and have a mixture of new and experienced players with a number being the result of the GCA's commitment to youth cricket.
