SNOOKER - THE MEMORIAL TROPHY FINAL
The Memorial Trophy Final
The end of a very wet day on The Rock was best spent in the comfort of The Casino Calpe watching Piranha Designs.com take on St Bernard’s Club at billiards and snooker in the final of the Memorial Trophy 2011.
As usual with these two teams the honours were evenly split with the saints taking the billiards, thanks to Monty and Mukesh, and the designers winning the snooker frames, thank you Nicky and Francis. So the season long struggle came down to a single frame of doubles snooker.
Lawrence Sisarello and Jeremy Gomez, of the designers, up against James Neish and Mukesh Bakhru, for the saints. Even this game couldn’t separate the two teams until the black ball was reached and in as tense and dramatic an ending as you could script Jeremy potted the black and the designers took the Memorial Trophy!
