Drug Awareness 5-a-Side Football Competition

The Bayside School Drug Awareness 5-a-Side Football competition is to be held in the Victoria Stadium Tercentenary Indoor Sports Hall on Thursday 29th December 2011 between the hours of 0900 and 1300.

This competition is held every year around this date and is organised by the Neighbourhood Policing Unit (RGP) in conjunction with the Drug Rehabilitation Services (Mr John Montegriffo) at the Care Agency, who are the sponsors for this event.
The competition is divided in to two groups (Year 8-9) and (Years 10-11).

This year a team from the Special Olympics has been invited as guests, and will compete in an exhibition match with Officers from the RGP who have organised the event.

The Neighbourhood Policing Unit has in the past been giving talks to the students in relation to Drug Awareness, and this activity is a fun occasion in which the relevant authorities can again remind the students about the dangers of drugs.
