Rugbytots Comes to Gibraltar

Rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and is coming on Leaps and bounds here in Gibraltar, and to this end RUGBYTOTS  have agreed to come to Gibraltar to hold a taster session for children  aged from 2 ½ yrs  to 7yrs.

Guy Lelue, a qualified teacher as well as a Rugby coach and who played rugby to a high standard for London  Welsh, just missing out on the Professional era, launched RUGBYTOTS IN Spain this year.

Guy recently ran sessions for the Andalucian Rugby Federation to demonstrate the benefits of Rugbytots and how fun the programme can be, he explains.

Rugbytots is the first of its kind; a specifically designed play programme using the multiple skills of Rugby to create a fun and enjoyable environment whilst developing basic core motor skills.

Our programme has been designed to develop your child's physical, psychological and social attributes, as well as gently encouraging rugby specific skills such as running with the ball, finding space, kicking, catching, scoring a try and much more.

Parents are encouraged to join in with the younger children and play with them. Sessions will be held at Victoria Stadium in August on the following times and days.

Tuesday the 18th  and 25th of August with the age groups as follows:

  • yr to 3 ½  yr  from 10.15am till 11am and
  • 3 ½ yr to 5yr from 11am till 11.45
  • 5yr to 7yr from 11.45am till 12.30pm.

Rugby Tots is non contact fun filled time for children to explore all aspects of play, including running and ball skills, kicking and co-ordination as well as just having fun.
