Gold continues coming in!!

The Gibraltar Rhythmic Gymnastics Association attended two competitions this last weekend were once again our local gymnasts made Gibraltar proud with their great routines and podium positions.

 

 

 

 

 

Algeciras Level B and C 

LEVEL B - (Individuals)

Zoë Marais - Alevin - Ball - 1st (GOLD

Leila Marais - Infantil - Rope - 2nd (SILVER)

This was both sisters' debut performance in their respective categories and their routines were both impressive and well mastered.

Meghan Chipol - Junior - Ribbon - 2nd (SILVER)

Natalie Gomez - Junior - Ribbon - 3rd (BRONZE)

Kelly Penfold - Benjamin - Freehand.

This was Kelly's first appearance competing at individual level were she produced a very neat and eye-catching routine.)

LEVEL B - (Groups)

Infantil - Rope - 1st (GOLD)

Benjamin - Freehand - 2nd (SILVER)

LEVEL C - (Groups)

Pre-Benjamin - Freehand - 2nd (SILVER)

Infantil - Ball - 3rd (BRONZE)
Copa - Miramar

Gabriella Gracia looked professional and achieved a 4th medal position in her hoop routine in the junior category.

Emma Bosio - Benjamin category. Her first individual freehand competition at Copa level were she produced a very neat and well executed routine.

 Gabriella Lyden - Infantil section with clubs produced a very strong and elegant routine and Hector Justicia - Infantil section, freehand carried out his routine with gusto. 

The Association is very proud to be able to announce that they are sponsored by Swarovski Crystals. Many of the girls competitive leotards are filled lovingly by hand with genuine Swarovski's and the company has agreed to sponsor the club, to help aid the gymnasts in their climb up the International ladder and to look fantastic at the same time. The Club would like to say it's thanks to Swarovski for their fantastic contribution and help.

The Association continue to train hard ready for the busy season ahead in Spain at all levels and at present the A squad are training extensively in order to be ready for the British National trials in May. At the same time the Association are busy with preparations organising their Level B & C and Copa competition which is being held on May 16th and 17th and their International competition a little later on in the season.
