Holy Trinity Cathedral Christmas Carols

The annual Christmas Carol Service of The Cathedral of the Holy Trinity is scheduled to take place at 6 pm on Sunday, December 23rd.

In addition to the singing of traditional carols by the choir and congregation, the choir will sing works by Bach, Fuggle, Ayling and others. The Huron Carol, for example a work by Fr Jean Brebeuf, a Roman Catholic Jesuit who was martyred by a Huron aboriginal in Midland, Ontario, Canada, on the shores of Georgian Bay, will also be sung. This carol tells of the gifts of fox and beaver pelt that the native Chiefs will give to the Christ Child.

The carol, "When a Child Is Born" and Ave Maria, by William Gomez will be accompanied by a dance interpretation of these works by The Danza Academy.

The public is cordially invited to attend this Celebration which will be followed by the serving of Mulled Wine and Mince Pies.
